Echo (Jane Doe Six Sentence Stories)

“I hate my plain-Jane name,” Jane says.

“Well, I think Jane is a lovely name,” says Mikki, “but if you could choose your name, what would it be?”

“Echo.”

“What?”

ECHO, ECHO, echo, echo,” Jane laughs. “See, that got your attention!”

  1. anytime you’re in the mood for a dual Six, let me know… (I really like the economy and directness of your writing and it would be interesting to see what a ‘cross-over’ might read like.)

    1. Oh, dude, sometimes I’m slow on the uptake. I love flash fiction partially because I tend to be very wordy, and flash helps me pare my writing down to the essentials. Liking the “economy and directness” of my writing is one of the best compliments I’ve ever gotten. Thank you! You made my whole month, or maybe six weeks even. πŸ˜‰
