Nemesis Games by James S.A. Corey (Book Review)

Nemesis Games (Expanse, #5)Nemesis Games by James S.A. Corey

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

“I’m trying to save humanity here. It would be just fantastic if someone would help.”

Perhaps the best the-whole-universe-is-about-to-die line ever.

I struggled a bit through Cibola Burn, but Nemesis Games has us back in the Sol system and back in the saddle. Naomi, Amos, and Alex head off in different directions on personal business while the Rocinante is down for repairs. Even hundreds of thousands of klicks apart, they (and Holden, never forget Holden) fight together to save the universe once more, while revisiting the pasts that served to bring them together in the first place. With help from old friends Chrisjen Avasarala and Bobbie Draper, the ties that bind get snugged a bit tighter.

Good stuff.

“A lot of things happen. Even this.”
